SteadyBars installations follow ADA and TAS §609 guidance, are anchored into studs or rated anchors, and weight-tested before we leave.

Why it matters

One bar is cheaper than one fall.

The bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house. A properly anchored grab bar is the single highest-return safety upgrade you can make.

How it works

Four steps. One visit.

From first call to a bar you can put your full weight on — usually inside the same week.

1

Book online or call

Pick how many bars and request a time online or by phone — nothing to pay up front. We ask a few questions about your bathroom (tub or walk-in, wall type, who's using it) and confirm the exact all-inclusive price. No in-home sales visit.

Takes 3 minutes
2

Free safety assessment

On arrival, our CAPS-certified installer walks the bathroom with you, maps the studs behind the wall, and recommends placement for the person who'll actually use the bar — not a generic template. You pick the finish and length on the spot.

Included, day of install

Expert installation

Precision mounting into tile, stone or drywall. Every bar fastens into a stud whenever one is where the bar belongs. On tile and stone, where the framing often isn't, we use WingIts grab bar fasteners — rated up to 450 lb in drywall with tile, well above the ADA requirement — so the bar goes where it's most useful. On painted drywall, studs only. Heights follow ADA / TAS §609, adjusted to fit the person using the bar.

30–60 min per bar
4

Tested with our own weight

We hang our full weight on every bar in front of you, show you how to use it, vacuum the dust, and leave. You pay when the job is done and you're happy with it.

Where grab bars actually belong

Most homes need two or three. Here's where they do the most good — and the ADA / TAS ranges we start from before fitting each bar to the person. Full ADA / TAS guide →

Beside the tub

A diagonal bar on the long wall gives a moving hand-hold through the whole step-over — the exact moment most tub falls happen.

24" bar · 33–36" from floor

Inside the shower

A horizontal bar on the back wall for balance while washing, plus a vertical bar at the entry for a secure grip stepping in and out on wet tile.

Horizontal 24–36" · Vertical 18"

Next to the toilet

A side-wall bar turns the hardest movement in the room — sitting down and standing back up — into a controlled, supported motion.

36" bar · 33–36" from floor

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

One flat, all-inclusive price: $429 for the first bar and $379 for each additional bar installed in the same visit — so two bars are $808 and three are $1,187. That covers the premium 304 stainless bar in your choice of finish and length, all hardware and anchors, professional installation, weight testing and cleanup. No deposit, no hidden fees, no surprises. Full details are in our Installation Terms.

Near the toilet (33–36 inches from the floor), in the shower on the control and back walls, and beside the bathtub. Those ranges come from ADA / TAS §§604–609 and are where we start; in a home, the person's height, reach and how they actually move take priority, and our free safety assessment sets the final spot with you. See the full placement guide.

It depends where. In clinics, churches, restaurants, senior living and other public or commercial restrooms — yes: we install to the 2010 ADA Standards and the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), §§604–609, which Texas requires. In a private home the ADA doesn't apply, so we treat it as the starting point rather than the rule: we begin at the ADA heights and lengths, then fit the bar to the person who'll use it — their height, reach, which hand is stronger, and how they get in and out. Either way, every bar is fastened into studs or WingIts anchors rated well above the ADA 250 lb requirement, and weight-tested before we leave. Read the ADA / TAS guide →

You can, and if you'd rather supply your own bar we'll install it for the same per-bar price. But a grab bar is only as strong as what it's anchored to. Professional installation means fastening into a stud wherever one is available — and on tile or stone where it isn't, using a WingIts fastener rated for grab-bar loads rather than an ordinary drywall anchor — and getting the position right. That's what prevents the loose bars and cracked tile that make up most of our repair calls. Never rely on suction-cup bars for body weight; they can let go without warning in a humid bathroom.

Tile and stone, yes. Fiberglass and acrylic surrounds, no. We install into ceramic and porcelain tile, natural stone and standard drywall. We map the studs first and fasten into one whenever it's where the bar needs to be. On a tiled or stone wall where it isn't — which is often, since studs are 16 or 24 inches apart — we use WingIts grab bar fasteners, rated by the manufacturer up to 450 lb in drywall with tile and well above the ADA 250 lb requirement, rather than move the bar somewhere less useful. On painted drywall we fasten into studs only; we never put a hollow-wall fastener through bare drywall. Tile and stone can chip when drilled even with the right bits and technique; we explain that risk before we start. We don't install into one-piece fiberglass or acrylic tub and shower surrounds: the panel is thin, flexes, and usually has an air gap behind it, and that isn't a mount we're willing to stand behind. If that's your shower, tell us when you book and we'll say so up front.

No. The price includes a premium 18-gauge 304 stainless steel bar in any of eight finishes — brushed, polished, peened, knurled, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, brushed brass or white — and any length from 12" to 48". Already own a bar? We'll install it for the same flat price.

Most single bars take 30–60 minutes and a full three-bar bathroom is done in under 90 minutes, including the walk-through and cleanup. We schedule most installs within the same week and can often be out within 48 hours across DFW. Coming home from a hospital or rehab stay? Tell us and we'll prioritise it.

304-grade stainless steel is highly rust-resistant, which is why it's the standard for bathroom hardware and the only grade we install. With basic care it keeps its finish in a humid bathroom. The one thing that can mark it is harsh cleaners — bleach, chlorides and acidic tile products — so wipe bars with mild soap and water and dry them. Our care guide covers cleaning and how to lift a rust spot if one ever appears.

After the work is done. There's no deposit and no cancellation fee — you pay by card, check or cash once the install is complete and weight-tested in front of you. Receipts are emailed. Sales tax applies where required by Texas law. Workmanship is covered by a one-year warranty; see our Installation Terms.
