Returns & Refunds Policy
At SteadyBars.com, we supply professional-grade grab bars and want you to be 100% satisfied. If there’s a problem—or you’re simply not happy—we’ll work with you to make it right. Please review the eligibility and procedure below. To begin a return, submit an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) request as outlined here.
Installed Services & On-Site Work (Final Sale)
- Installed bars and hardware are not eligible for refund once installed.
- Workmanship issues are covered by our Lifetime Installation Guarantee.
- Product defects are handled under the manufacturer’s warranty. We’ll help with claims.
- If you believe you received the wrong item, do not install it—contact us first so we can correct it at our cost.
- This policy applies to product-only (DIY) orders. Installed packages are a service plus product; after installation, refunds are not available.
Return Period
Products that meet the Return Qualifications below may be returned within 30 days of purchase.
Return Qualifications
SteadyBars.com may refuse or reduce a refund if an item is not in like-new, resalable condition. To qualify, the item(s):
- Are new, unused, and uninstalled (no tool marks, screw scuffs, or mounting evidence).
- Are free of scratches, dents, or defects not caused by shipping.
- Include all parts and pieces, manuals, and accessories.
- Are in the original manufacturer box and packaging (no writing, labels, or tape on that box).
- Are double-boxed for return: put the untouched manufacturer box inside a protective outer shipping carton.
- Are properly packed to prevent damage in transit (returns damaged due to poor packing may be refused).
Non-returnable items: installed or attempted-install items; modified or customized products; final sale/clearance items; items missing parts or original packaging.
Restocking Fee
A 20% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns, waived if we shipped the incorrect item.
Additional deductions may apply for missing/damaged packaging or parts.
Original Shipping Cost
Original shipping is non-refundable, unless the product arrived defective/damaged or we shipped in error.
Return Shipping Cost
You are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective/damaged upon arrival or received in error.
For items valued over $75, use a trackable service (and consider insurance). SteadyBars.com is not responsible for returns lost in transit without proof of delivery.
Damaged or Defective on Arrival
Please email photos and your order number within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll arrange a replacement or label as appropriate.
Processing Time
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll email a confirmation of approval or rejection.
Please allow up to 5 business days for inspection after receipt.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after approval.
How to Submit a Return Request (RGA)
- Email returns@steadybars.com with subject line “Return Request”.
- Include your order number, item(s) you wish to return, reason for return, and photos (packaging and product).
- We’ll reply with your RGA number and the return shipping address plus packing instructions.
- Clearly write the RGA number on the outer carton. Returns without an RGA may be refused.
- Ship within 14 days of RGA issuance.
