4) Installation Scope, Methods & Limits
What We Install:
Straight, concealed-mount grab bars for indoor use (showers, tubs, toilets).
Surfaces:
- Drywall: Fastened into studs when accessible.
- Tile/Stone/Glass: Anchored to studs when possible; otherwise, manufacturer-rated anchors are used (non-rotating, corrosion-resistant).
- Other Substrates: Plaster, acrylic/fiberglass, masonry, metal studs, or glass panels evaluated on-site; may require special hardware, extra labor, or a separate quote.
Standards:
Our installations follow ADA/TAS guidelines for placement (~33–36″ to top of gripping surface) where applicable, designed to resist ≥ 250 lb when properly used. Compliance with local codes for commercial or covered facilities is your responsibility unless otherwise specified.
Tile/Stone/Glass Risk:
Chips, spalls, or cracks may occur despite proper technique. By authorizing drilling, you accept this risk and responsibility for repair/replacement (e.g., tile, grout, waterproofing).
Hidden Conditions:
We use stud/metal detection and non-contact voltage checks, but concealed utilities/voids (e.g., radiant heat, plumbing, electrical, hollow spots) may exist. We are not responsible for these and may stop work if conditions are unsafe.
Full details are in our Installation Scope & Methods Policy.
5) Installed Services Are Final
- Installed grab bars and hardware are non-refunded once installed.
- Workmanship issues are covered by our Lifetime Installation Guarantee; product defects fall under the manufacturer’s warranty.
- If you receive the wrong item, do not install—contact us to correct it.
6) DIY (Bars-Only) Shipping & Returns
Shipping: Orders process in 1–2 business days; carrier, rates, and transit vary. Tracking is emailed upon shipment. See our Shipping Policy for address changes, loss/damage, oversize bars, refused/undeliverable, split shipments, and backorders.
Risk of Loss & Title: Transfers to you when goods are delivered to the carrier. We assist with carrier claims per our Shipping Policy.
Returns: DIY products may be returned within 30 days if new, unused, uninstalled, in original packaging, and shipped in an additional outer box to prevent damage. Contact us at returns@steadybars.com for packaging instructions if needed. A 20% restocking fee applies (waived for our error). Original shipping is non-refunded. Customer pays return shipping unless defective/damaged on arrival or our error. RGA required. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
7) Warranty & Installation Guarantee
