Our knurled grab bars feature diamond, crisscross-cut grooves along the tube to create an enhanced gripping surface—a longtime favorite for showers and tubs. Available in Brushed (satin) or Polished (mirror) finishes to match your fixtures.

The knurled zone increases friction and adds a subtle texture, creating an anti-slip surface for a more secure grip and added safety.

Length

  • 18–24″ — short reaches or angled assists

Diameter (feel in hand)

  • 1¼″ — slimmer grip; great for smaller hands; sleek residential look
  • 1½″ — fuller grip; more surface contact; common in commercial settings
  • Both sizes are ADA/TAS-accepted (circular bars 1¼″–2″ OD)
  • Safety relies on proper installation/anchors (ADA 250-lb requirement)
  • Clearance is always 1½″ (separate from diameter)

Finish

  • Match fixtures (stainless pairs with chrome/nickel; matte black for contrast)
Mounting & Placement
  • Best practice: mount into studs. If studs don’t line up, use a rated hollow-wall anchor (e.g., WingIts®) for your wall type.
  • Typical horizontal height: 33–36″ AFF (ADA/TAS-informed).
  • Seal all penetrations and ensure the bar cannot rotate in its fittings.
